At Community Kiln, we strive to foster creativity in our students while also giving them the technical skills they need to excel in ceramics. Our experienced faculty members are passionate about helping students achieve their artistic goals. Summer is a great time to explore clay classes with low commitment. We offer two summer camp options for ages 6-15 and 5 week long class options. From beginners to advanced artists, we have classes and workshops that cater to all skill levels. Adult classes are 5 weeks long, and the $250 tuition include 5 weeks of class, 1, 25lb bag of clay*, open studio access and all firing costs. Learn more about our adult classes and browse options by clicking the button below. Registration is not yet open for Summer 2025 adult classes.

The College Level Studio Membership will be for the months of June, July and August at no cost for all three months. For this heavily discounted program, studio members are asked to volunteer 2-5 hours a week in our studio. Assorted tasks include, but are not limited to, wedging clay, cleaning, shadowing, helping kid’s classes, open studio monitoring, mixing glazes, etc. All tasks are designed to help further your knowledge of ceramics and assist in your overall practice.
This program is held at Community Kiln, 46 Park St. Framingham, MA. Submissions are due April 30th at 11:59PM and recipients will be contacted by May 10th via email. If accepted, a phone interview may be scheduled and one recipient will be chosen for the program.
This summer program is an introduction to ceramics for our littlest artists. Students aged 6-10 will explore clay through pinching, coiling, slab building, and mini sculpture projects. Throughout the three days, kids will be presented with mini projects and games. Class takes place at our Framingham studio from 9:30-11:30PM everyday from June 30th-July 2nd. We recommend that students attend all sessions — there will not be make up sessions available. $90, all material costs included. Register now!
This summer program students are encouraged to pursue their creative interests, whether that be handbuilding or wheelthrowing. Throughout the week, kids will be presented with mini projects, collaborative pieces and games. Ages 11-15
Class takes place at our Framingham studio from 1PM to 4pm everyday from August 11th-15th. We recommend that students attend all sessions — there will not be make up sessions available. $275 fee includes all material and firing costs. Register now!
