Fall 2025 Registration

Take a class at Community Kiln!

 Interested in pottery classes? Come take a class at Community Kiln! Fall classes run for 10 weeks and include open studio time, group instruction, and all firing/glaze fees. Get curious about clay and take the leap by joining one of our instructional classes. Space is limited, so sign up promptly.

Take a class at Community Kiln!

Youth sessions are for students 9-18 years of age. Please see our adult classes for more information on classes for students 18+ years of age.


We offer 2 varieties of children's classes, 2 days 

of the week, afterschool and special opportunities for youth.

Kids Clay

Students ages 9 -12 will learn to create one of a kind ceramics using basic handbuilding techniques. Learn more about the foundation of ceramics by learning pinching, slab and coil techniques. Surface detail and underglazes will be used to make each piece your own! 


$200 tuition includes instruction, clay, glaze, underglazes, and firing. 

Each session meets for 5 weeks. Ages 9-12.

Teen Clay

  Teens ages 12-18 will learn the process of wheel throwing including centering, opening, pulling, and forming shapes such as bowls, vases and mugs. Advanced students coming into this class can work with the instructor to create projects to fit their skill level and challenge themselves. Both handbuilding and wheelthrowing exploration is encouraged. Class discussions and critiques of fired works will allow students to better explore these individual styles. 


$215 tuition includes 25 lbs of clay, glaze and all firing costs. 

Each session meets for 5 weeks. Ages 12 to 18.
